Find a location near youSolvents are liquids used to dissolve or thin a compatible substance. You can recycle both the liquid and the containers in which they are contained by following the correct protocol.
Maximum container size is for collection is 30 litres and/or 30 kilograms.

- Turpentine, alcohols (methanol, isopropanol, ethanol)
- Ketones (acetone, methyl, ethyl, ketone)
- Xylene
- Toluene
- Mineral spirits
- Linseed oil
- Naphtha
- Methylene chloride
- Products marked as paint thinners, lacquer, thinners, automotive body resin solvents, contact cement thinners, paint strippers and degreasers
- Solvents in aerosol containers

Excluded from Solvent Collection Programs
- Products supplied as fuel
- Motor oil
- Household cleaning products that are not supplied as solvents
- Adhesives, sealants, and fillers
- Protectants
- Cosmetics and beauty products (e.g. perfume)
- Drugs, medicines and other health products (e.g. hand sanitizer)
